Calaveras County takes step to update aging General Plan with LTA Support

The Lake Tulloch Alliance presented strong arguments for the need for better planning by the Calaveras County to the Board of Supervisors March 13th in San Andreas. Citizens from throughout the county filled the Supervisors Chambers with the Supervisors taking action to begin steps to update the county general plan. LTA also strongly supports amending the Copperopolis Community Plans which effectively ignores steps to protect the lake. Most of the key initiatives of the LTA are not incorporated in the plan. (Click here for LTA Initiatives)  LTA has been working directly with Supervisors including Victoria Erickson to have the county implement the LTA initiatives.

LTA has joined forces with other organizations throughout the county ranging from business organizations to homeowners associations to support a complete update of the county general plan that is seriously out of date. LTA Co-Chair Connie Williams and other LTA members addressed the Supervisors
